3 Things Every Podcaster MUST DO to Be a Success

1. Be Consistent with Your Schedule

In order to establish and keep a loyal following it is very important to be as consistent as possible with your on-air podcast . Your audience needs a specific time so that they have something to look forward to. Daily podcasting is a lot to ask and monthly is not enough. A perfect schedule for your show will most likely be once or twice a week. Those days should not change from week to week.

2. Use Top Quality Equipment

Your podcast must sound and look its best. Whether you are doing audio only or a video type podcast, it must look and sound professional. It should have a well-lit set, the video pop and the audio clear and crisp. The first that will cause people to lose interest is bad sound and bad lighting. These things get overlooked by non-professional podcasters and are easily fixed in the right environment.

3. Have a Focus for Your Show

Your podcast should have a main theme and each specific show should have certain repetitive factors that are channeled into that theme. Think about what you're passionate about and start with that. Stay on your subject and you will build a loyal audience.
